This Sweet and Salty Caramel Snack Mix has all my favorite snack flavors in one bite. Caramel, SNICKERS®, toasted coconut, chocolate & more caramel, this snack is seriously addicting.
Let’s get real here. My kids, husband, & my entire family knows the real me when I am hungry. Well, maybe a few others too, like the waitress Saturday night when we waited over an hour for our food – which never came. In times like that, I have to tame my HUNGER BEAST, or I may end up with no friends.
When the word “hangry” came out, I laughed as it literally fit me perfectly.
I don’t do well hungry. Does anyone?
That’s when I came up with the idea of making a “Tame Your Beast” video, which paired up well with the “Who are you when you are hungry?” SNICKERS® contest.
Here is a short Instagram video that shows you what I become when I am hungry. Get ready for a good laugh. In the end, SNICKERS® Almond bar is my favorite go-to SNICKERS® bar. Which one tames your hunger beast?

Caramel, SNICKERS®, toasted coconut, chocolate & more caramel, this snack is seriously addicting.
- 6 tablespoon butter
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 6 cups toasted chocolate corn cereal
- 2 cups toasted corn cereal
- 18 pieces, unwrapped caramels
- 1 ½ tablespoon milk
- 2 cups coconut, toasted
- 1 cup dark melting chocolate
- 4 Almond SNICKERS Bars
- ¼ teaspoon coarse sea salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large microwavable bowl add cereal & set aside.
Then like a baking sheet, I used my cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In small microwavable bowl add in brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir until smooth, then heat for another minute. Immediately stir in baking soda until it has complete dissolved.
Pour caramel mixture over cereal that is in the large bowl, mix until cereal is evenly coated. Place back in the microwave and heat for 1 minute, remove bowl and gently stir cereal once again, then reheat for another minute, remove from microwave and stir once more. Then spread the cereal mixture on the prepared baking sheet bake for 5-8 minutes. Once you remove the mix from the oven immediately sprinkle with toasted coconut, set aside.
Chop up SNICKERS bar and evenly sprinkle over the snack mix.
Then in a small add caramel pieces and milk, heat in the microwave for 1 minute, stir then heat again for another 30 seconds to a minute, until caramel is completely melted and smooth. Use a spoon to drizzle caramel mixture over snack mix, toss the snack mix with the caramel so that the coconut sticks to the cereal. Top with chopped SNICKERS.
In a small microwavable bowl, heat the dark melting chocolate for 1 minute, stir and then reheat for another 30 seconds or until chocolate is completely smooth.
Using a spoon drizzle the chocolate over the snack mix, toss gently, so make sure SNICKERS and coconut are stuck to the cereal. Set aside and let it cool for 5-10 minutes, then break into pieces and serve.
