Fresh Peach & White Chocolate Sweet Rolls with white chocolate filling, fresh peaches, cinnamon, and sugar will please anyone with a sweet tooth or not.
I love spring. One of my favorite things about the spring and summer months is that the local farmers market is open! I love going down there every Saturday morning, picking out fresh produce, eating a pastry from a local bakery and just meandering around by myself to all the booths. Did you notice a few keywords there? By myself.
My favorite stand in all of the market, besides Cave Girl Eats and Treats (my sister-in-laws Paleo bakery), is a peach stand. This farmer travels from Palisade, CO about 4 hours away to bring the best, juiciest peaches around. YUM!
So inspired by the opening of the farmer’s market last weekend here is my favorite sweet roll recipe – Fresh Peach & White Chocolate Sweet Rolls.
Enjoy! XOXO San
How do you make Fresh Peach & White Chocolate Sweet Rolls?
-
Place ingredients as listed above in order into a bread machine. Set for dough cycle.
-
After complete on dough cycle, remove from machine and roll out to a rectangle about 17×10 inches.
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9×13 baking pan by greasing.
-
Cut peaches in half, remove pits and slice into 1/8 inch slices. In a medium pan, melt butter, add peaches and brown sugar cook for 3-5 minutes until tender. Do not overcook. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Melt white chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute, remove and stir until completely melted. Add cream cheese and stir until smooth, if your chocolate starts to harden reheat in the microwave with the cream cheese for 20-30 seconds. Whip until smooth. Spread in a thin layer and evenly on the dough.
-
Add peach slices on top of cream cheese white chocolate mixture. Don’t overlap and spread out over the entire dough, don’t worry not all of the dough will be covered.
-
Roll the dough tightly from long end, pinching edges closed when completely rolled. Slice dough into 12 rolls, about 3/4-1 inch thick slices. Place into greased 9×13, let rise until doubled.
-
Bake for 20-22 minutes, then let cool for a few minutes before adding glaze.
-
Mix butter, powdered sugar, and almond extract. Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches desired consistency. Drizzle over sweet rolls.
-
Serve immediately or cover and set aside for later, add glaze just before serving.
