Chocolate Churro Muddy Buddies

I love churros! Love them.
Really any kind of churro especially if it is accompanied by a chocolate dipping sauce.
And that is exactly where the inspiration came for these Muddy Buddies. And they are to die for!
This bite sized snack has all the elements of a churro, crunchy cinnamon sweet dessert covered in a chocolate ganache. Drooling just even thinking about them. YUM!
There really isn’t much more to say than that, and to TRY THEM now!
Seriously, run to the store if you need to, you must have these!
Enjoy my new favorite Muddy Buddy!

Chocolate Churro Muddy Buddies

This Chocolate Churro Muddy Buddy is basically a churro wrapped in a chocolate ganache brought to you as bite sized snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 ¼ cup powder sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon, for topping, optional

Directions

In a large paper bag add powder sugar, brown sugar, white granulated sugar and cinnamon, set aside.

Add cereal into a large bowl, set aside.

In a bowl add chocolate chips and butter. Heat in microwave for 1 minute, remove and stir until completely melted and smooth, this may require you to heat for an additional 30 seconds. Immediately pour over cereal and mix until all pieces are coated with chocolate.

Pour coated cereal into a paper bag with sugar and cinnamon mix, fold top over of paper bag and shake it, “shake-it like a Polaroid picture”.

Once completely covered, pour the Muddy Buddies into a serving bowl, time for a fiesta.

You are a girl after my own heart! I love me some churros. And having muddy buddies of any flavor is dangerous in our house…well, mainly dangerous for me because I can’t stop. Combining these two things could be the most lethal recipe of all. Yum!
