I love hosting showers, parties and having friends over to my house. I also, love taking teachers, friends, family and neighbors treats.
I especially love on these occasions when they can be simple, yet elegant.
These cookies are one of those desserts that perfectly fit every occasion.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack or dinner – this will complete any meal with dash of sweetness.
An added bonus, these are my husband’s favorite cookies, wait maybe they moved to 2nd place after my German Chocolate Cake Cookie? Either way, he will eat the entire 2 dozen if I let him.
What I love about this little bite of heaven is that you can mix up the fruits that you use, to fit what is in season.
The presentation every time is flawless, and your guests, teachers or whomever you serve this too will just love it.

- Sugar Cookies
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ to ½ cup powder sugar
- ½ to 1 teaspoon almond or clear vanilla flavoring
- 12 large strawberries, sliced
- 24 blueberries
- 6 kiwis, diced in large chunks

In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese and butter, stir in the sugar, powder sugar and flavoring until smooth. Set aside, in the fridge if necessary until ready to frost.
Once cookies are cooled, frost with a large heaping tablespoon of cream cheese frosting. Top with fruit.
Serve and enjoy.
